Senior Software Engineer - Python

Job Overview

Stanson Health, a healthcare technology company specializing in clinical decision support, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python. Key Responsibilities

Develop commercial software with a web-based service architecture.
Implement good engineering practices such as continuous integration/deployment and automated testing.
Contribute to highly innovative and impactful products that make a difference in people's lives.
Exercise independent judgment in applying skills and problem-solving capabilities with minimal oversight.
Stay updated with state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree (required).
Skills:
- Proficiency in Python API development, particularly with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with Postgres development and query optimization.
- Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including EC2, Fargate, S3, SNS, KMS, and Aurora.
- Experience developing with Docker.
- Knowledge of automated provisioning/deployment pipelines and other DevOps tooling (experience with Ansible/AWS build is helpful).
- Understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts.

Working Conditions

Type: Remote
Travel: 1-20% within the US
Physical Demands: Sedentary work, involving remaining stationary most of the time.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: €80,000 - €148,000 per year.
