Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our innovative Autonomy group within Amazon AGI. This team is at the forefront of developing the world's most advanced AI agents, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning technologies to create solutions that are universally accessible.

About the Role

As a Principal TPM, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Autonomy group, which is a dynamic team of approximately 75 members. This role involves working closely with a dedicated TPM supporting our Alexa initiatives and reports directly to the Vice President of the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Management: Develop and execute complex program roadmaps that involve multiple interdependent teams and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for all program stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Technical Expertise: Dive deep into technical systems, particularly those involving deep learning and AI, to understand and manage intricate project details.
• Leadership and Influence: Influence leaders across various domains, including research, engineering, product, and finance, to drive decision-making and project execution.
• Operational Excellence: Establish and evolve the operating cadence of the Autonomy group, ensuring all teams are aligned and delivering results efficiently.
• Special Projects: Lead special projects that are critical to the success of the Autonomy team, often dealing with ambiguous and time-sensitive challenges.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, with a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Strong intuition and experience with machine learning technologies, including commercial AI products like GPT and Claude.
• Ability to articulate the inner workings of complex technology projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Established relationships with partner organizations such as AWS AI and the Alexa team.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure engineers, machine learning engineers, and researchers.
