About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Mendix, you will be pivotal in enhancing our cloud infrastructure and services. This role involves a blend of programming and operational responsibilities, ensuring the high availability and performance of the Mendix Cloud. You will be part of a dynamic team that interacts closely with the community to evolve our product.
Responsibilities
- Programming and Automation: Develop software to automate operations of our platform. Spend about 60% of your time on programming tasks.
- Operational Support: Solve operational issues by investigating and liaising between Mendix Support and R&D teams. This includes on-call support for critical issues.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Create and maintain systems for real-time monitoring and alerting. Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs.
Skills and Experience
- Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in Golang and Python is preferred. Experience with other programming languages is also valuable.
- Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Experience with AWS is essential. Familiarity with GCP or Azure is beneficial.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus.
- Container and Unix Systems: Strong experience with containers and Unix/Linux systems.
