About The Role
As a Deployment Engineer at Wheel, you will be the technical lynchpin throughout the entire implementation lifecycle. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their implementation experience is exceptional. Your role is crucial in educating, empowering, and ensuring the success of our customers on the Wheel platform. Your technical expertise will allow you to find best-fit solutions, onboard and educate new customers, and support their long-term success both pre and post-kickoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Client-Facing Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for customer implementations, migrations, and expansions.
- Technical Execution: Drive technical discussions and implementations to meet committed timelines. Deliver system environment build and configuration activities to support the testing and deployment of client solutions.
- Integration Support: Review API requirements and deliver workflows and system configuration to support integration and testing with client systems.
- Customer Onboarding: Assist customers during their technical integration phase and manage technical work needed to launch.
- Technical Best Practices: Advise customers on technical best practices and the implementation of Wheel’s products and features.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with every team at Wheel, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Client Success, to ensure successful client launches.
Who You Are
- SaaS Deployment Experience: You have experience with B2B SaaS API-centric products and understand the needs of customers integrating with a SaaS platform.
- Programming Skills: Fluent in one or more popular programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- API and Integration Expertise: Solid understanding of RESTful API architecture and experience helping clients integrate systems via API.
- Technical Tools: Proficient in working with JSON and YAML files, and familiar with tools like GitHub and Jira.
- AWS Experience: Previous exposure to working with AWS.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Technical Curiosity and Passion: Stay up to date with Wheel’s products and industry trends.
