Job Description
The Oracle Health Orders team is dedicated to modernizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) by creating an AI-first EHR system, which will serve as the core intelligence for healthcare. We aim to deliver advanced physician ordering capabilities, incorporating cutting-edge AI, enhanced user experiences, and open APIs for customers.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing innovative software solutions that enhance both functionality and user satisfaction. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining the software that drives our product's success. By contributing to user experience improvements, you will help shape the future of healthcare. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the product's quality, scalability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of web methodologies for Java-based services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- 7 years of professional software development experience or 5 years with an advanced degree in Computer Science.
- Development experience in Java.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to mentor other engineers in the team in processes, technologies, and design methodologies.
- Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.
