Principal Software Development Engineer
Overview
Join Oracle's Cloud Identity and Access Management Team as a Principal Software Development Engineer. In this role, you will be a key player in the development and redesign of our Identity System, ensuring secure and compliant access across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position offers the opportunity to work on a highly scalable system that operates across multiple regions worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Redesign and Develop: Work on redesigning our Identity System and developing new features to enhance security and compliance while reducing access friction.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow their engineering skills.
- Project Management: Lead projects and supervise lower-level personnel, ensuring timely and quality delivery of software solutions.
- System Design: Design major features and launch them into production, ensuring high availability, scalability, and redundancy.
- Operational Excellence: Instill a culture of proactive operational excellence, identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in full-stack software development, with experience in distributed systems and cloud service development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, C++, C#, and modern JavaScript libraries such as React, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle.
- Data Handling: Experience working with large data volumes and building tools and dashboards with large data pipelines.
- Security and Compliance: Experience driving security reviews and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Challenges
- Scalability: Enhance the system's ability to scale and handle increasing traffic patterns.
- Reliability: Build services that can handle millions of requests per second and survive regional data center outages.
