Job Overview
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Gryla team in Iaşi, Romania. This role is pivotal in maintaining the security and integrity of Amazon's services and products. You will be involved in building large-scale, high-availability, and low-latency distributed systems that are essential to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain high-complexity software.
- Propose innovative solutions and refine them for production readiness.
- Own end-to-end critical components ensuring compliance and security across Amazon's platforms.
Daily Activities
- Engage with various Amazon businesses and stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
- Work alongside a mix of senior and junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
- Directly impact customer and stakeholder satisfaction through your technical contributions.
About the Team
The team comprises dedicated engineers focused on security and compliance of transactions. It's a blend of experienced seniors and eager juniors, all united in advancing Amazon's security capabilities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in professional software development outside of internships.
- Proficiency in designing and architecting with a deep understanding of design patterns and system scaling.
- Experience with at least one programming language and familiarity with object-oriented design and data structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years in full software development lifecycle roles.
- Experience with secure systems and handling sensitive information.
