As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing features for web applications used by Neighbors, Public Safety, and Ring users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Features: Work on web applications utilized by Neighbors, Public Safety, and Ring users.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Investigate and document design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Ensure Performance and Responsiveness: Maintain code quality and operational efficiency.
- Identify and Fix Bottlenecks: Promote robust, maintainable code and clear documentation.
- Technical Leadership: Engage in proactive outward communication and technical leadership.
About The Team
Our team is responsible for web applications and services primarily built in React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, and Go. We value innovation, effective engineering leadership, and teamwork.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 2+ years of experience with web architectures and services.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Work Environment
This position involves some on-call responsibilities, expected to be no more than one week out of the month. We provide a supportive onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into on-call duties.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from €129,300 to €223,600 per year. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical and financial benefits.
