About the Role
Podbase is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Back End Engineer to join our growing team in Vilnius. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing tech startup specializing in custom tech accessories for B2B. Our integrated system seamlessly links e-commerce shops to our platform, automating the entire process and offering a hassle-free solution for customization and dropshipping.
Responsibilities
- Create new features and upgrade existing ones to improve user experience.
- Test and document features you work on.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the code you produce.
- Work closely with other teams to examine new feature requirements and plan implementations.
- Help in designing the backend architecture to ease and improve development efficiency.
- Refactor the code base to comply with our desired architecture and latest business requirements.
- Participate in quarterly plannings and brainstorm on ways to improve Podbase.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Node.js application development (experience with Express is an advantage).
- Worked with team(s) on production systems with user traffic.
- Experience with microservices development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (proficiency in TypeScript is an advantage).
- Proven experience in working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB is an advantage).
Our Technology
- The system consists of 1 monolithic service and 4 supporting microservices.
- All services are written using NodeJS with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Our frontend is written with Angular. It communicates with backend via GraphQL (we are in the midst of migrating to Restful API).
- The whole infrastructure is running on Kubernetes and hosted on Azure.
- For databases, we use MongoDB via Mongo Atlas and Redis for queue systems.
