About the Role
Join Hostinger as a Senior Backend Software Engineer specializing in Node.js. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that power our applications. You will work closely with the front-end team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange and a smooth user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend systems and APIs using Node.js.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to define API requirements.
- Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement data storage solutions and manage databases.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation of APIs for internal and external use.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backend services to identify and resolve issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in backend development.
- Deliver high-quality code solutions and make decisions on product architecture.
- Write clear, scalable, and tested code that creates actual business value.
- Share feedback with your peers.
What We Expect
- 5+ years of experience with NodeJS, Express, and PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Proficiency in REST API, SQL, and any ORM.
- Experience with Git versioning system.
- Knowledge of message queueing technologies like RabbitMQ, BullMQ, or GCP PubSub.
- Familiarity with application containerization technologies like Docker.
- A self-starter attitude and the ability to challenge the status quo.

Salary
- Gross salary range: 5500 - 6600 EUR/month, based on experience and compliance with job requirements.
