Senior Backend Developer
RocketscoutKey Responsibilities
- Craft and implement robust backend frameworks using Node.js
- Create and enhance data storage structures
- Oversee and support cloud-based data systems, primarily PostgreSQL
- Construct and refine API endpoints
- Collaborate on streamlining deployment processes with the DevOps team
- Engage in all aspects of software development, from conceptualization to post-launch support
- Produce efficient, well-documented code with comprehensive test suites
- Nurture an environment that values technical excellence, data-backed decisions, and diverse perspectives
- Mentor colleagues and facilitate their professional growth
Requirements
- Extensive background in backend software development and system architecture (7+ years)
- Mastery of JavaScript/Node.js, containerization technologies, and database administration
- Familiarity with cloud service providers (AWS/GCP)
- Demonstrated success in developing high-traffic web applications
- Eagerness to explore new technologies and commit to ongoing skill enhancement
- Self-starter with a proven ability to drive projects to completion
- Desirable: Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and WebRTC technology
- Preferred: Track record in fast-paced startup environments, including team leadership roles
