Join Mindpeak GmbH as a Senior Backend Developer specializing in Python and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing cancer diagnostics through AI. Based in Hamburg, Germany, Mindpeak is at the forefront of developing AI-based tools to assist pathologists in delivering accurate and reliable cancer diagnoses.
Your Mission
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be integral to our development team, focusing on creating and enhancing our lab tools. You will tackle challenges such as managing large digital pathology images and ensuring efficient streaming using advanced image servers. Collaborate closely with our machine learning team to serve AI models as APIs, improving both backend and frontend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software to serve machine learning models in production.
- Build automation tools to optimize our data annotation pipeline.
- Utilize technologies like Docker, AWS, Python, and React to develop top-tier digital pathology tools.
- Integrate existing pathology hardware and software solutions into automated workflows.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with product, design, front-end, deep learning, and infrastructure specialists.
Your Profile
- MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of professional experience with a strong background in Python and web development.
- Experience with Linux and Docker; Linux server administration is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
