InstaDeep, a pioneering AI company, is seeking a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join our Digital & Visualisation Team in Paris. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to completion, working on projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Backend APIs and Components: Design and implement robust backend solutions that integrate with innovative AI platforms to deliver user-friendly AI products.
- Testing and Maintenance: Cover solutions with necessary unit and integration tests, and maintain and improve existing products.
- Code Review and Mentorship: Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaborative problem-solving and quality.
- Technical Contributions: Contribute to technical and software design decisions within the team, optimizing components for maximum performance across distributed environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to ensure a quality-first approach.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product development with a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one OOP language (C#, Java, Python, C++), experience with database querying using SQL and at least one ORM, and knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Tools: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both large and small audiences.
- Education: Degree in computer science or equivalent.
