Job Overview
Our team at Nexar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on cloud backend development. This role involves designing, implementing, deploying, and operating reliable and cost-effective systems that power innovative data-driven products based on real-world data.
Responsibilities
- Multi-Storage Product Development: Build and operate large-scale products on top of multiple data storage solutions like HBase, Kafka, Postgres, and Redis.
- Data-Warehouse Operations Expert: Utilize large-scale data-warehouse solutions like Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
- Cloud-Native Orchestration Specialist: Manage cloud-native orchestration tools like Dagster, Airflow, and Jenkins.
- Deep Learning Serving Innovator: Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning serving using TensorFlow and Pytorch.
- Secure API Implementation: Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs to interact with the Nexar Platform and underlying services.
- Container and DevOps: Engage with container technologies and DevOps tooling like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automated Deployment: Implement a fully automated deployment system from the branch level to a full running remote environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in building distributed backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in AWS infrastructure and architectural best practices.
- Experience with data pipelines, from ingestion to serving, using technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, S3/GCS, Spark, and Databricks/Snowflake.
- Ability to ship high-quality Java / Go code and own a feature from conception to production.
- Familiarity with a technology stack that includes Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, ElasticSearch, Chef, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
