Responsibilities
- Lead a squad within the "Merchant Care" tribe to improve merchant payment management and experience.
- Mentor and guide developers in their projects while contributing to development efforts.
- Ensure alignment with other Lead Developers on ongoing projects and their impacts across technical squads.
- Enforce best practices in tech, including security, performance, code reviews, and peer programming.
- Enhance service availability and security, and contribute to our code delivery tools.
- Drive technical design in coordination with product management to develop viable solutions for our clients.
- Coordinate with architecture teams to establish a technical vision within Payplug.
- Participate in technical discoveries and ensure technical solutions are upheld by product teams.
- Propose improvements for operational efficiency and contribute to the backend community.
- Manage production deployments and monitor post-deployment activities.
- Address advanced support tickets and identify improvement areas.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a developer.
- Proficiency in Python and understanding of distributed systems, such as microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of teamwork and pride in your work.
- Interest in "ops" issues and a belief in the importance of well-tested, reviewed code.

- Case study with a Developer and an Architect (45 minutes)
- Team fit discussion and meeting with a Product Manager (30 minutes)
