Backend Engineer (PHP) - Ecommerce Integrations
About the Role
Adyen is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in PHP and Ecommerce Integrations to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in developing plugins that interface with the Adyen platform, enhancing our Ecommerce plugins for platforms like Adobe Commerce and Shopware, and contributing to our API libraries.
Responsibilities
- Develop New Features: Create and implement new features for our Ecommerce plugins, addressing merchant needs and solving complex problems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage frequently with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Integration Design: Design and implement integration strategies to optimize client business performance.
- Industry Expertise: Become an expert in the Adyen platform and the payments industry.
- Global Collaboration: Participate in our knowledge sharing program, offering opportunities to work globally.
- Community Engagement: Join the Ecommerce developer community and attend various conferences and events.
Who You Are
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of PHP (including frameworks like Symfony and platforms such as Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce and Shopware 6), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Version Control: Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git (GitHub is a plus).
- Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing multiple integrations simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.
- Customer Relationship Management: Experience in managing both internal and external customer relationships and expectations.
- Technical Planning: Ability to determine technical requirements and develop execution plans.
- API Development: Experience with creating open API specifications and implementations (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
- Continuous Learning: Eager to stay updated with the latest technologies in the Ecommerce industry through platform-specific training.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
