Join Proton as a Fullstack Engineer (Payments)
At Proton, we are on a mission to build a better internet where privacy is the default. We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our Payments team, which is crucial to the financial operations of Proton. This role involves integrating online payments using dedicated providers and client libraries to facilitate our business operations. The technical implementation of payments is shared across all Proton products, making its smooth operation a key criterion for our success.
Responsibilities
- Build features across all Proton products, focusing on payment systems.
- Collaborate closely with product teams and engineers across the company.
- Develop scalable software architecture using best practices in software engineering.
- Optimize user experience and design.
Requirements
- Deep experience with backend development using PHP or Python.
- Proficiency in frontend design and development with JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience in building complex production systems.
- Familiarity with data processing and storage technologies such as MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Elastic, Ceph, and ClickHouse.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead the development process from design to QA.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Bonus Points
- Experience within the payments domain.
- Experience with iOS or Android app development.
- Experience managing Linux servers, including infrastructure as code (Puppet, Ansible) and containerization.
