About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Javascript at Bitpanda, you will be part of the Custody team, focusing on safeguarding crypto assets and integrating with DeFi applications. This role involves working directly on building new features and services related to Bitpanda’s Custody product offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions for high-performance backend systems with an event-driven architecture hosted on AWS.
- Work on loosely coupled microservices that support core business services of the entire organization.
- Guide and mentor other developers while developing your own skills and broadening your knowledge by working alongside domain experts.
- Own the delivery of features to completion, including deployment and end-to-end testing.
Who You Are
- You have strong Javascript abilities with high development standards, including a solid understanding of language fundamentals, functional and object-oriented programming approaches, and attention to code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
- Knowledge of API design and basic knowledge of event-driven design, including event streams and message brokers like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS Event Bridge.
- Familiarity with Typescript, AWS Services, Node.js, AWS Lambda, trading/markets, blockchain knowledge, DevOps infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., CDK / Terraform), AI, smart contracts, Cryptonodes / endpoint providers / RPCs, Web3, and GraphQL is a bonus.
