About The Role
Abnormal Security is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer specializing in ML Infrastructure to join our Detection Team. The team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology to identify and stop previously undetectable email and cloud-based attacks, contributing to global security.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, and deploy backend services and infrastructure supporting our world-class Detection Engine.
- Take ownership of projects that enable us to meet ambitious scaling goals, such as enhancing the Behavioral Aggregate Systems of our ML Platform.
- Collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) teams to align feedback with our strategic goals and execute projects that address key customer pain points.
- Provide mentorship and conduct high-quality code reviews and design reviews for junior engineers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in engineering roles focused on data-oriented products and/or ML systems.
- Proficiency in technologies relevant to ML Ops, including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and other data platform and coordination systems.
- Experience with real-time, online, and high-throughput & low-latency distributed systems.
Nice to Have
- MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with big data or statistics.
- Familiarity with the cybersecurity industry.
