Join Our Team as a Senior Data Engineer
Diconium is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading our data engineering unit, working on innovative projects, and delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
What You Can Expect
- Leadership Role: Take on a technical and lateral leadership role within the data engineering unit.
- Data Processing: Gather and process raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and improve the performance of data pipelines.
- Innovative Projects: Work on fast-paced and innovative projects aimed at delivering innovative solutions for our customers.
- Resource Planning: Be responsible for budget, capacity, and resource planning within your projects.
- Stakeholder Support: Support different stakeholders (internal/external) in making the right technology decisions.
- Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage data pipelines for our clients (internal/external).
- Customer Support: Assist our customers in obtaining the necessary data easily and transparently to develop intelligent data products in various fields such as mobility, automotive, industrial, consumer, financial, and non-profit organizations.
What You Bring Along
Must Haves
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages (Bash/Python/Go/Ruby).
- Experience with ETL processes and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Experience with Azure and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data architecture.
- Proven team leadership skills.
- A suitable degree and relevant working experience of 5+ years.
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development.
- Experience with Java and project management.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka and Redshift.
