Overview
Join Microsoft, a global leader in technology and innovation, as a Principal Data & Applied Scientist in our Data Intelligence team. This role is pivotal in driving actionable insights from our Copilot for Security platform, shaping strategic decisions and product development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand market trends, customer behavior, and business drivers, leveraging data to achieve impactful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of data-driven strategies.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify key metrics and design experiments.
- Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns and trends.
- Work with market analysts to integrate external market trends into our data analysis.
- Define KPIs and performance metrics, continuously optimizing product performance.
- Communicate findings through compelling visualizations and presentations.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, including machine learning and NLP.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience in big data, preferably in cybersecurity or SaaS industries.
- Familiarity with Azure tech stack, including Synapse and Azure ML.
