Join Zendesk as a Data Scientist II
Zendesk is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist II to join our Enterprise Machine Learning team. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering high-quality machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) products that enhance our customer experience solutions. As part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, you will work closely with data analysts, ML engineers, and business partners to create scalable data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ML and AI products that meet business needs.
- Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning to address complex business issues and formulate data-driven solutions.
- Metrics Definition: Define and align key metrics related to the efficiency and effectiveness of AI/ML systems based on business impact.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively engage with various stakeholders to build strong relationships and understand their analytical needs.
- Best Practices Implementation: Implement and promote best practices regarding data contracts to optimize data integrity, security, and compliance.

You are a data scientist with a deep passion for bridging the gap between data science, machine learning, and business needs. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your problem-solving skills and business acumen are applied to real-world business solutions, and you thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
- Minimum of five years of experience in data science.
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and other statistical computer languages.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
