Albert Heijn, a leader in the retail industry, is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team in Zaandam, North Holland, Netherlands. This role is pivotal in developing new technologies to enhance our promotional displays and campaigns.
About the Role
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will be the first frontend specialist in our promo team, responsible for setting up the frontend architecture for new technologies. This position offers significant freedom and responsibility, allowing you to shape the future of our promotional displays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend applications using React.js and Next.js.
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features.
- Utilize React Query for efficient data fetching and state management.
- Develop UI components in isolation using Storybook.
- Write unit tests for React components using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Work independently and leverage resources like StackOverflow and GitHub Copilot Chat.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8-10 years of frontend engineering experience.
- At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience with React.js.
- Strong proficiency in UI/UX principles and CSS/CSS-in-JS solutions.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries like Recharts.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Swagger and consuming third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks.
