About the Role
As a Senior Front-end Developer at DPG Media Nederland, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch news experiences to millions of users. Our Selectives development teams are dedicated to creating the best user experiences for our premium publishing brands, including De Volkskrant, Trouw, Het Parool, and more. We are building and maintaining a white-label platform that serves web, mobile, and tablet users.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-stack Development: Work within a full-stack team to develop new features such as podcast pages, playlists, and article enrichments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other front-end developers, product owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders to ensure the best possible user experience.
- Code Quality: Strive for high code quality and implement necessary security measures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and improve system robustness, scalability, and performance.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge with other web front-end developers to ensure platform growth and improvement.
Who You Are
We are looking for a senior-level developer with experience in high-traffic websites. You should be proactive, collaborative, and eager to take initiative. You should have deep knowledge of:
- React
- Next.js
- TypeScript
And experience with:
- Storybook
- Monorepo
- Jest / Playwright
- Node.js
- WAI (Accessibility)
