Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer, Geospatial
As the first Senior Full Stack Engineer specializing in Geospatial technologies at Vannevar Labs, you will be pivotal in creating foundational geospatial infrastructure and components across our applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define product and technical directions, ensuring the delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement efficient, reusable front-end systems for complex geospatial applications.
- Develop backend systems and user interfaces to support geospatial functionalities.
- Drive key technical decisions and own the roadmap for geospatial and software engineering within your team.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate on significant features and architectural changes.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on building geospatial user-facing products.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React.
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, caching technologies like Redis, and object stores like S3.
- Prior experience as a geospatial or imagery analyst is highly beneficial.
