About the Role
Somewear Labs is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing a platform that saves lives by enhancing communication and situational awareness for teams operating in challenging environments. You will be working from our San Francisco or Chicago office, or remotely, depending on your preference.
What You'll Do
- Develop and Enhance Web Applications: You will work with technologies like React, Redux, Typescript, and Mapbox GL to build and enhance web applications.
- Backend Development: Utilize Kotlin and Spring to manage the backend, integrating with databases like Postgres and using gRPC for API management.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product and design teams to architect impactful product features from concept to shipped product.
- Solve Technical Challenges: Engage with a variety of technical challenges involving custom hardware, satellite technology, Bluetooth, sensors, and third-party integrations.
Skills and Experience
- Experienced Developer: You should have at least 4 years of experience in developing interactive web applications.
- Passionate About Impact: You should be passionate about understanding users and building capabilities that save lives.
- Eager to Learn: We value engineers who are eager to learn and develop across the full range of technologies used in our product.
