Senior Full-Stack Engineer - LLM and Go

Job Overview

Join FactSet as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in our Institutional Buy Side SBU, where you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and development of products that establish FactSet as the premier technology partner for the Analytics investment community. You will be part of the Middle Office group, which provides a fully connected ecosystem, increases operational efficiency, and reduces total cost of ownership for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Design, Implement, and Maintain Code: Develop high-quality code and ensure its maintenance and enhancement.
Collaboration: Work closely with product management and other engineers within the PAR engineering team. Collaborate with Machine Learning, DMW, PIE, and other teams to integrate recommended technology and enhance best practices.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
Project Management: Set milestones for yourself and report on the progress and evolution of tasks and projects.
Best Practices: Follow best practices such as code reviews, testing, documentation, and version control.
Technical Debt Reduction: Balance and accelerate work towards technical debt reduction while delivering client-facing products.

Minimum Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
Proficiency: At least 1+ years of experience with Go and Protocol Buffers.
LLMs and Prompt Engineering: 1+ years of experience using LLMs and with prompt engineering, Databricks, and MLFlow.

Preferred Skills

Web Services: Experience writing web services.
Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Portfolio Analysis: Knowledge of Portfolio Analysis and attribution models.
Web Technologies: Experience with web technologies, including Vue.js and AngularJS.

Education

Degree: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or a related major.

Salary

The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of California, Connecticut, and New York is €140,000 - €185,000.
