Role/Department Description
The Data Solutions department at FactSet is focused on delivering high-value, connected data to fuel growth, improve client experiences, and provide a comprehensive suite of offerings that incorporate proprietary and third-party data sets, normalized through a common data model. This ultimately enables clients to access market, company, and alternative data through various delivery methods.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
- Use Python to build our back-end collection tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using industry best practices.
- Ensure that deployed products are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle.
- Participate in design and code reviews of multiple projects across teams.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend and backend applications to resolve issues and optimize performance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor or Engineering degree required.
- Fluent English.
- Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- 2+ Years of experience in back-end development.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge in JavaScript in a Web Development framework such as Vue.
- Database and SQL general knowledge (PostGres/Sql).
- Experience or knowledge of CI/CD concepts and Github would be appreciated.
