About the Role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Patreon, you will play a crucial role in scaling and expanding the capabilities of our payment platform. This platform is essential for ensuring that creators are paid effectively and on time. You will lead and contribute to the development and design of the Payments platform and tools to support payment processing at Patreon.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to enhance automated testing and reliability of our payments platform.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new functionalities while maintaining a delightful user experience.
- Engage with a supportive team to deliver high-quality solutions with agility.
- Utilize technologies such as Java, Python, Flask, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS, and introduce other technologies when appropriate.
- Work with frontend frameworks and technologies including React, Javascript, and Typescript.
- Mentor and guide engineers to build a strong product-minded engineering culture.
About You
- You have 5+ years of experience in fullstack software development.
- You are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and craft, with a keen eye for user experience and engineering detail.
- You have a proven track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput.
- You are experienced in designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining code in a service-oriented architecture.
- You are proactive in communicating with peers and cross-functional partners.
- Experience in the payments domain is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
