Role Overview
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Hagerty, you will be a pivotal member of the Digital Sales team, focusing on enhancing our web quoting experience which directly impacts the company's revenue. You will collaborate with other engineers to implement new features, maintain existing applications, and share knowledge within the team. This role involves working with a diverse technology stack including JavaScript frameworks and .NET.
Responsibilities
Technical Development
- Set standards and mentor the team on technical development.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for software development lifecycle tools.
- Contribute to architectural design with guidance.
- Develop and design comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
Product Ownership
- Participate in on-call support rotation for production services.
- Be a steward of your product, taking stories from inception to delivering value in production.
- Define and enforce team guidelines to ensure maintainable and well-tested code.
Team Collaboration
- Engage actively in team activities and decision-making processes.
- Foster a collaborative environment, emphasizing mutual respect and productivity.
- Support team members and encourage a culture of asking for help and offering assistance.
Growth and Development
- Promote a culture of continuous growth and learning within the team.
- Take initiative in personal and team development, setting an example in the tech community.
Qualifications
- Experience with front-end and server-side technologies including .NET (C#), SQL, Next.js, TypeScript, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Expertise in web technologies like Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
- Strong skills in designing, developing, and documenting RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in SQL and complex query design.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks (NUNIT, Selenium, Playwright, Jest).
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and development tooling.
