Join Our Team as a Founding Chip/Software Engineer
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Founding Chip/Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Silimate. As a founding engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming the way chips are built across the industry, enabling new levels of dynamism and speed for the hardware compute ecosystem.
Who You Are
You are excited about the potential of transforming chip design and are eager to leverage your expertise in VLSI front-end design flow and coding skills to build a co-pilot for chip designers. You have a deep understanding of functional correctness and PPA optimization in RTL design, which you will use to develop key features that make chip building faster, easier, and more intuitive.
What You’ll Do
- Code Development: Write and ship high-quality code in Python and C++ that will be used by Silimate’s 10+ chip/IP customers.
- Architectural Decisions: Make software architectural decisions for key product features.
- User Feedback: Translate user feedback into product updates and features.
- Product Roadmap: Be part of planning the core product roadmap and strategy with the founders.
Minimum Requirements
- Passionate about chips and AI for EDA.
- Experience in designing ASICs using SystemVerilog and synthesis/verification tools (open-source and/or commercial).
- Proficient in writing and shipping high-quality code quickly.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and AI/ML methods.
- Resilient, data-driven, and works from first principles.
Ideal Requirements
- Experience with 1+ tapeouts, ideally on advanced technology nodes.
- Contributor to open-source EDA/chip efforts.
- Significant experience with PPA optimization and/or functional correctness convergence.
