Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure
Overview
We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our infrastructure team at ING Nederland. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining the foundational services of our cloud environment. You will be part of a dynamic DevOps team, working on Java-based microservices and infrastructure deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a DevOps team to design and develop scalable microservices.
- Engage in peer programming and utilize state-of-the-art tools and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of infrastructure deployment workflows for our internal private cloud.
- Automate provisioning and manage second-day operations of personalized infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Java (version 11 or higher) and experience with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
- Strong understanding of unit tests, static/dynamic code scanning, and artifact management.
- Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with hosting platforms such as OpenShift, PCF, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of automation tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt Stack, or Ansible.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Certifications or proven proficiency in Networking, Virtualization, and/or Security.
