Your Role & Work Environment
As a Chapter Lead, you will bring your expertise in software engineering and people management to build critical applications. You will spend 40% of your time as a Senior Java Engineer within your squad, 40% on developing your chapter members and building expertise, and 20% as part of the IT management team.
You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment of the Mortgages tribe, supporting and building on the digitalization strategy. You will help others succeed and always strive to be a step ahead, bringing fresh ideas to life and embracing challenges in a fast-changing and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and Safeguarding Professional Culture: Embed the new way of working according to Agile principles, advocate for cultural change, and promote a culture of self-development and high-performing teams.
- Manage and Achieve IT Maturity: Spend 40% of your time as a Software Engineer, stay ahead in your domain of expertise, and ensure the application of standards in your area.
- People and Chapter Management: Responsible for the personal development and evaluation of chapter members, encourage self-development, provide coaching, and support talent acquisition.
- Delivery: Be a key member of sessions to optimize squad performance and capabilities.
Your Key Competencies / Skills
- Technical Skills: At least 10 years of experience in the Java ecosystem, understanding of Software Architecture, experience with continuous integration and delivery, and familiarity with monitoring solutions like Kibana and Grafana.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, proactive attitude, solution-oriented mindset, and excellent collaboration skills.
