About the Role
Datadog is seeking a Senior Library Software Engineer specializing in Node.js to join our dynamic team in Lisbon. This role involves working on our open-source Node.js library, focusing on Application Security Management (ASM) integrations and security monitoring features. You will be instrumental in developing solutions that enhance the security and functionality of web applications, serverless applications, and APIs in production environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Node.js code, interacting with components in C++, Rust, and Python.
- Define the architecture, design, and implementation of ASM for Node.js.
- Collaborate with other ASM library teams and platform teams to bring new product ideas to fruition.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and performance monitoring.
- Advocate for Datadog in the Node.js community and contribute to internal Node.js Guild activities.
Who You Are
- Experienced Node.js developer or skilled polyglot ready to adapt to Node.js.
- Knowledgeable about language interpreters, virtual machines, concurrency, and parallelism.
- Committed to writing clean, reliable, and well-tested code.
- Keen on performance optimization.
- Active participant in the Node.js community and library ecosystems.
