Overview
Datadog, a leading cloud-scale monitoring and security platform, is seeking a Library Software Engineer specializing in Node.js to join our engineering team in Germany. This role is ideal for someone passionate about open-source software and skilled in Node.js and related frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Node.js libraries used across multiple projects.
- Contribute to open-source projects and collaborate with the global developer community.
- Implement and maintain high-quality software standards and practices.
- Engage in patch management and security updates for Node.js libraries.
- Work closely with other engineers to integrate libraries into larger systems.
- Write and maintain documentation for software libraries.
- Use modern programming concepts and languages, including Rust, to enhance library functionalities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js, Next.js, and Mocha.
- Experience with programming concepts and patch management.
- Familiarity with Rust and npm is a plus.
- Strong understanding of open-source software development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
