About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend at Datadog in Lisbon, you will be tasked with building an intuitive, responsive product that helps thousands of customers monitor the health and performance of their systems. You will use cutting-edge technologies like React and TypeScript to streamline data flow from platform to user, enabling seamless transitions and building a powerful yet user-friendly platform.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to refine and validate design concepts.
- Break down complex features into manageable tasks and create rollout plans.
- Design and deliver impactful features for a large user base.
- Experiment with new systems, design patterns, and tools.
- Participate in hackathons and collaborate with other frontend engineers in monthly demos and annual summits.
- Contribute to a best-in-class in-house design system.
- Own significant parts of our service, focusing on performance and scalability.
Who You Are
- Experienced in designing and engineering user interfaces.
- Proficient with the JavaScript ecosystem and up-to-date with frontend technologies.
- Skilled in using design patterns to create simple and reusable components for complex UIs.
- Knowledgeable about data structures, algorithms, profiling, and optimization.
- Passionate about code simplicity and attention to detail.
