About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer in the DesignOps team at Datadog, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining our Design System, known as Druids. You will work alongside a team of frontend engineers and designers to enhance the delivery and maintenance of our components and assets. Your role will involve boosting the usability of the Design System by iteratively improving our documentation and guidelines. This position requires a deep understanding of frontend technologies and a commitment to high-quality user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and improve Druids, Datadog’s design system, to keep it state of the art.
- Work with TypeScript, React, and LESS to develop robust and scalable solutions.
- Enhance our documentation platform to ensure easy understanding and increased adoption of the Design System.
- Ensure our experiences adhere to accessibility standards and other best practices.
- Collaborate closely with a tightly knit team to solve complex problems effectively.
Who You Are
- You are a JavaScript and frontend specialist with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering pixel-perfect results.
- You value good communication and can easily discuss your work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You have a strong product sense and always keep the ultimate customer goal in mind.
- Experience with owning or significantly contributing to a Design System is a bonus.
