About the Role

As a Senior Software Architect at Erste Digital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital banking. You will be part of a highly motivated team of experts responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art software solutions. Your primary focus will be on defining and implementing software architecture, design patterns, and development processes for the next generation of payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of resilient and scalable applications running on container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Software Architecture: Define and implement software architecture and design patterns to ensure robust and efficient software solutions.
Team Leadership: Continuously improve the team's knowledge of the latest techniques and technologies.
Technical Governance: Oversee the governance of technical infrastructure and ensure best practices are followed.

Required Skills and Experience

Over 10 years of software engineering experience, particularly in Java, with additional skills in Python, Perl, and Shell scripting.
More than 6 years of experience in designing and implementing applications on container platforms.
Strong background in developing and testing microservices and APIs, with knowledge of Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
Proficiency in IT infrastructure administration, including Linux and application servers.
Strong analytical skills and experience in software design documentation.
Occasional standby duty is required.
Excellent English skills; German is a plus.

Compensation

We offer a competitive and performance-related salary, with a minimum wage of EUR 3500 gross per month for this full-time position. However, we are open to discussing your actual expectations based on your professional and personal qualifications.
