Job Overview
Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will be instrumental in building tools and services for new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Your mission will be to provide our customers with best-in-class DevOps services to manage their code, build, and deployments within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of OCI DevOps Source Code Management Services.
- Apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
- Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
- Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in at least one (preferably two) of the following languages: Java, Python, C/C++, C# or Golang.
- Strong grasp of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals).
- Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), and standard network architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Working familiarity with the UNIX operating system and related tools.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
