Role Overview
Join Tubi, a division of Fox Corporation, as a Senior Software Engineer in our Ads Engineering team. You will be instrumental in building out the Ads Ecosystem to optimize ad delivery across Tubi apps. This role involves working closely with the Machine Learning and Data Science teams to develop sophisticated algorithms for ad pacing and planning.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, high-throughput, and low-latency distributed systems using Scala.
- Develop APIs and services with a focus on quality code and test coverage.
- Drive innovation and experimentation by proposing and prototyping new features and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the system.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and consistency of the codebase.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems with JVM languages, preferably Scala.
- 4+ years of experience with relational databases, caching technologies, and message brokers.
- Proven experience in building near real-time services that are high-performing, scalable, and fault-tolerant.
Bonuses
- Experience in adtech, specifically in serving, targeting, and/or measurement technologies.
- Familiarity with Akka technologies and noSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Kustomization, Terraform, and other infrastructure tools.
- Understanding of JVM resource management.
