Role Overview
Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in the U.S., as a Senior Software Engineer on our Ads team. This role is crucial for building and enhancing the systems that empower sellers to grow their businesses through effective advertising. You'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and quick, impactful delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ads products across the full stack, including bidding, targeting, ranking, serving, and campaign management.
- Build scalable systems to handle the complexities of online advertising, ensuring sellers can effectively differentiate themselves.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand buyer and seller needs, translating these into high-impact features.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in ads serving, quality, pricing, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Elixir, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to build systems at scale in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a user-first approach to solutions.
