Role Overview
Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in the U.S., as a Senior Software Engineer on our Ads team. This role is crucial for building and enhancing the systems that support our dynamic and rapidly growing marketplace. You will be part of a team dedicated to creating innovative solutions for ad serving, targeting, and campaign management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable ad products across the full ads stack, including bidding, targeting, ranking/auction, serving, and campaign management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand buyer and seller needs, translating these into effective ad solutions.
- Optimize existing systems for higher scalability and performance.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and technologies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in ads serving or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Elixir, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound product decisions.
- Experience in high-growth environments, with a track record of delivering impactful features quickly.
