Job Overview
Maxar Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves designing and developing user interfaces and visualizations that support capabilities such as data discovery, analytic visualizations, and AI/ML big data analytics. You will work with modern techniques and tools to develop services and support the DevSecOps pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces and visualizations for data discovery and analytics.
- Develop services using REST, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Angular, and React.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and support the DevSecOps pipeline with tools like JIRA, Git, Junit, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
- Support the development and demonstration of user interface concepts and incorporate analyst feedback.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 7 years, or PhD with 4 years. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience in an Agile, Microservice cloud-based environment.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, shell scripting, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaEE, Docker, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Must have Top Secret/SCI CI Poly clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JIRA, Git, Junit, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with multiple database technologies including RDBMS, Elasticsearch, SOLR, and NoSQL (Hadoop and/or EMR).
