Job Overview
Bynder is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend development to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for developing robust, scalable server-side applications and contributing to our architecture. You will be working in a hybrid environment based in Rotterdam, collaborating closely with designers, product owners, and other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, high-performance backend services using modern technologies such as Scala, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Implement new features and maintain existing systems, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Work closely with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across team domains.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes, and employ automated testing and DevOps practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of backend development, particularly in Scala and related technologies.
- Experience with microservices architecture and container technologies like Kubernetes.
- Proficient in deploying applications through CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development environment, preferably with a focus on server-side applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or Java is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security practices and standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and explore new technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally.
