Overview
Fathom is a pioneering healthcare technology company on a mission to streamline clinical data processing through advanced AI solutions. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Data) to join our dynamic team in New York City. This role is crucial for developing robust data infrastructure and backend systems that support our AI-driven medical coding technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure to ingest, sanitize, and normalize a broad range of medical data.
- Design and implement performant and expressive interfaces to the data.
- Create cloud-based machine learning infrastructure to scale up data ingestion and processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance data processing capabilities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in backend development, particularly with Python or similar languages.
- In-depth understanding of algorithms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and data structures.
- Experience with healthcare data and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong foundation in computer science principles.
