Role Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Genies, you will be part of our growing platform and mobile backend teams. Located in our new Bay Area office in San Mateo and reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the development and future growth of our backend services, developer platform, and core mobile experiences. Your work will involve designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend services that power both mobile and web applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services.
- Build with creativity and innovation, experimenting with cutting-edge technologies.
- Operate a high-quality infrastructure and service ecosystem, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with the broader engineering team to help plan the company's long-term technology roadmap.
- Support efforts to advance LLM and ML systems for end-users.
- Lead efforts to scale our infrastructure to accommodate growing demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in languages like Golang, Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with NoSQL database design and development.
- Experience in developing APIs and working with distributed databases and caching systems.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
