About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Blank Street, you will be at the forefront of building innovative products for our customers and business. You will be involved in the development of our backend systems across various technology products, including the app, POS, and internal tools. This role requires a deep understanding of back-end web development and a proven track record in JavaScript programming.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our core team to work on backend systems.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and strategy.
- Work on a wide scope of critical initiatives, from core product functionality to experimentation frameworks and machine learning.
- Launch new products like our Regulars program.
- Collaborate closely with our product and design teams, with exposure to company leadership.
Who You Are
- You have a Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
- You have experience working on production consumer products.
- You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and ideally have built your own products in the past.
- You are capable of taking on challenges; no task is beneath you, no task is above you.
- You are a cross-disciplinary team member, excited to learn new skills and able to communicate with colleagues in different disciplines.
- You are a team player, implicitly collaborative and energized by teamwork.
- You are passionate about Blank Street and coffee.

- $120,000 - $160,000 annual base salary.
