Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Review & Improve team at Snyk. This role is pivotal in enhancing our developer security platform, focusing on building robust internal APIs that integrate seamlessly with platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. You will be part of a dynamic team that empowers developers to build secure applications efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement APIs: Utilize your expertise in TypeScript and Golang to design and implement APIs that enhance the developer experience.
- Maintain Coding Standards: Ensure the reliability, observability, and scalability of our systems by maintaining high coding standards.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments and geographies, fostering a culture of inclusion and transparency.
- Engage with Product Partners: Understand the needs of our customers and product partners to build customer-centric solutions.
- Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance to team members, participate in recruiting, and promote a growth-oriented environment.
- Ensure System Stability: Participate in on-call rotations to maintain the stability and reliability of our services.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in building microservices and RESTful APIs using TypeScript and/or Go.
- Passion for Developer Experience: A deep understanding of developer challenges and a commitment to building high-quality products.
- Leadership Skills: Strong project and technical leadership abilities.
- Production Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitHub Apps, Bitbucket Connect, or similar integrations.
- Knowledge of Application Security, DevSecOps, or developer tooling.
