Senior Software Engineering Specialist

As a Senior Software Engineering Specialist at Amdocs, you will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems. You will work on specific modules, applications, or technologies and handle sophisticated assignments during the software development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Module Ownership: Be accountable for and own specific modules within an application. Provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements and problem resolution for critical/complex issues.
- Technical Leadership: Present demos of the software products to partners and internal/external customers. Use your technical knowledge to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.
- Code Review and Debugging: Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes. Analyze and fix bugs and workarounds, review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, highlight risks, and help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
- Continuous Improvement: Bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions. By means of automation, reduce design complexity, reduce time to response, and simplify the client/end-user experience.
- Team Leadership: Represent/lead discussions related to product/application/modules/team, such as leading technical design reviews. Establish relationships with internal customers/partners.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent.
- Experience: 7-8 years' experience as a software engineer or a software support engineer.
- Skills: Awareness of programming concepts and ability to write software code in at least one programming language.
