Overview
Join the Builder Tools organization within Amazon Web Services (AWS) at Amazon as a Software Developer II, L5. This role is crucial for enhancing the Amazon Security Automated Patching team. Builder Tools is responsible for every aspect of product development from the UI and external APIs to the backend services and databases. This team specifically manages the software and systems that enable Amazon’s vast developer community to transform revolutionary ideas into code running on production servers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure code quality through best practices, including code reviews and coding standards.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
- Address and improve any technical issues.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, offering equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
